What ACT does and does not do

Preparation-only feedback

ACT helps candidates practice for the role they are applying for now. It is not recruitment assessment, selection prediction or a replacement for a real panel.

What ACT does

ACT helps candidates practice for the role they are applying for now.

  • Uses role material supplied by the candidate.
  • Prepares role-specific practice.
  • Gives preparation-only feedback.
  • Creates a downloadable practice report.
  • Helps candidates decide what to practice next.

What ACT does not do

ACT is not a recruitment decision system.

  • It does not provide actual interview questions.
  • It does not predict selection outcomes.
  • It does not rank candidates for employers.
  • It does not replace a human coach in every situation.
  • It does not guarantee interview success.

Why the boundary matters

The value of ACT is preparation. The report helps candidates see where answers are clearer, weaker or not aligned to the role, so they can practice again with a sharper focus.
