Government and non-government role wording

Understand sector labels in interview practice and reports.

role setup

Steps and notes

Updated 2026-06-23.

ACT supports government, public-sector and private-sector roles when you provide the role description.

ACT infers whether a role is government, non-government or unclear from the role material and organisation signals.

Government roles use public-sector and panel wording; non-government roles use organisation wording where that is clearer.

You do not need to choose a sector setting before starting practice.

The practice remains preparation-only in every sector.
