Starting the practice interview

Open the interview preview and choose Start interview.

Use Check microphone on the interview preview before starting if you plan to speak.

ACT checks microphone access again before the panel begins.

The panel speaks first, then the microphone listens after the panel audio finishes.

A practice credit is used when the interview starts. If microphone trouble prevents you from saving a detailed first answer, use Start again for free from the interview room.

A detailed answer means there is enough detail for ACT to give useful coaching feedback. It does not need to be perfect; silence, no-sound attempts and very short tests do not count.

If speech capture is unavailable, use the typed answer option.
